Product Update: Q2 Release Overview

As Vice President of Product Management, Jason is responsible for defining and negotiating the strategic vision, planning, execution, delivery, and launch of products in the Litera Microsystems suite.

Litera Microsystems was formed with a mission to simplify the document workflow and help organizations better focus on what matters most: serving clients, not documents. Working toward this mission, our global team has been gathering feedback from experts in the legal, tech, and life sciences industries to continually develop and prioritize the most important end-to-end solutions for a simplified document drafting lifecycle.

In Q2, we focused on our friends in IT as we enhanced the stability, security, and compatibility of Litera Microsystems solutions, and strengthened the performance in select products for users. This means lawyers, life sciences professionals, knowledge managers, and administrative professionals can save more time and have more control over content detection as they move through the document drafting lifecycle. Here are some highlights:

Enhanced stability, security, and compatibility: To continually increase the long-term value and maintain compliance for Litera Microsystems solutions, we ran maintenance checks against all supported 3rd party software libraries. Additionally, Change-Pro, our document comparison solution, was updated to integrate with the most commonly used versions of SharePoint, including 2010, 2013, and Online.

Boost product performance to save time: Several product-specific enhancements have been made to increase user productivity and searchability. For example, Innova, our document assembly solution, now performs better in global enterprise environments, and Change-Pro enables users to run a comprehensive summary of changes across PDFs on a per-page or full-document level.

More control over your workflow: Based on customer input, we made it easier to detect and ignore content for review. Now, “Names, Dates, Etc.”, “Defined Term Issues,” and “Common Terms” in Contract Companion & Litigation Companion, and PDFs with "image metadata" in Metadact can be skipped.

Timely and informed quarterly updates: We recognized the need for a predictable upgrade schedule, as this makes it easier for IT professionals to plan for and take the necessary steps to maintain security and stability. To keep you informed and prepared, you can expect to receive Litera Microsystems product updates on a quarterly basis, received via email and/or direct contact with our team.

Updated branding and consistency: The Litera Desktop ribbon now includes Innova, Forte, and DocXtools, which is another example of how we continue to work toward an integrated user experience.
