Introducing The 2018 Changing Lawyer Awards Judging Panel

The Changing Lawyer Awards nominations are in full swing as we look for individuals and organizations in legal that are embracing and driving change. With the deadline for nominations quickly approaching on July 27, we want to encourage you to take a look at the awards descriptions and nominate a colleague or connection that may come to mind.

To evaluate the most qualified candidates for each of these awards, we put together the most qualified panel of judges. The following professionals from the legal sector will review nominations for this year’s Changing Lawyer Awards:

Bob Ambrogi

Bob Ambrogi is a lawyer, journalist, media consultant and blogger. Ambrogi is the founder of LawSites blog and writes for the MediaLaw blog. He co-authors's Legal Blog Watch and cohosts the weekly legal-affairs podcast Lawyer2Lawyer. Previously he held the top editorial positions at the two leading national U.S. legal newspapers, the National Law Journal and Lawyers USA.

Jeffrey Brandt

Jeffrey Brandt is the CIO for Jackson Kelly and editor of the PinHawk Law Technology Daily Digest. Brandt is a respected thought leader in the legal technology community and frequent educational speaker at regional and national user, trade shows and industry conferences. He has been a consultant, vendor and the CIO for several top US law firms.

Casey Flaherty

Casey Flaherty is principal of Procertas. Flaherty is an industry consultant and a former in-house and outside counsel. He consults with both in-house departments and law firms on legal operations, strategic sourcing, pricing, and process re-engineering. Flaherty also serves as an advisory board member for Nextlaw Labs.

Ivy Grey

Ivy Grey is a senior attorney at Griffin Hamersky and the author of American Legal Style for PerfectIt. She was recently named to the Fastcase 50 list and has been named a Super Lawyer Rising Star four times in the New York Metro area. Prior to joining Griffin Hamersky, Grey worked at a New York City bankruptcy boutique representing debtors, committees, and a panel trustee.

Caroline Hill

Caroline Hill is the editor-in-chief for Legal IT Insider (aka The Orange Rag). Hill began her career in the legal sector as a lawyer but decided to pursue her passion for writing. She became a senior reporter at Legal Week, news editor at Legal Business, and then took over as editor for Legal IT Insider.

Avaneesh Marwaha

Avaneesh Marwaha is the CEO of Litera Microsystems. Earlier in his career, Marwaha was a practicing attorney, general counsel and entrepreneur and has also served as COO for Keno Kozie and Nexonia.
